Forgaria Monte Prât

IIn the heart of Friuli, the plateau of Monte Prât extends over a marvellous natural balcony at a height of 800 metres above sea level; it is a stretch of green meadows and woods dotted with small country villages housing the albergo diffuso establishments.
High above soar the majestic griffons which inhabit the nearby Lago di Cornino Nature Reserve. Visitors have their backs to the Prealp mountains with their meadows and malghe, and a spectacular view of the Friulian plains and the last free river in Europe, the Tagliamento. The ancient transhumance houses have been renovated in traditional late nineteenth-century style; secluded or grouped together in tiny rural amlets, they are surrounded by meadows and glades linked by centuries-old footpaths. Guests can enjoy the house to the full, right from the first break of day, heralded by the sweet sounds of nature. Here you discover the value of clean air, which refreshes the body and mind in a child-friendly environment.
